Nomination for the Evergreen Book Award!

Elvira Gonzales' HURDLES IN THE DARK has been nominated for the 2026 Washington Evergreen Teen Book Award in their high school category! The Evergreen Teen Book Award, sponsored by the Washington Young Adult Review Group, has been sharing books with teens since 1992.  Each year the Evergreen Committee, made up of school and public librarians, selects from a list of titles nominated by librarians and educators for consideration. The committee looks for a variety of titles that deserve to be highlighted and are popular with teens.
